Celebrating Law Blogs
Clawbie Award Season
This year is the eleventh annual edition of the Canadian Law Blog Awards (otherwise known as the Clawbies).
As our readers know, Municipal Matters began early this year. Before our launch, we reviewed other blogs to get a feel for what lawyers were blogging about and how the knowledge was being presented. After all, blogging is a relatively new way to get information and content to our clients. To this end, the Canadian Law Blogs List was a helpful directory. So, in the spirit of giving back to the blog-world, we would like to nominate a few admired blogs for a #Clawbie award:
Alcohol & Advocacy by Dan Coles of Owen Bird Law Corporation. Alcohol & Advocacy was nominated for a Clawbie last year, it caught our eye as we searched for unique blogs representing niche law subjects. We found Alcohol & Advocacy to be aesthetically pleasing, the titles catchy and the content informative. Of course, it goes without mention, we love the subject matter!
Wood Bull Blog by Wood Bull LLP. Wood Bull's municipal law blog is prolific and for that reason alone deserves our nomination. We have admiration for the blog's simple layout and appealing colour scheme as well.
Michelle Kelly's Condo Law Blog by Michelle Kelly of Sutherland Kelly LLP. All about condos, Michelle's blog is a great example of a niche law blog. She covers a lot of ground on the topic so it is a great resource for those interested in the subject.
Best of luck to all the nominees!
